The revolutionary new ‘Minilite’ Lighting Tower from UK Generators combines a choice of Generator and unique ‘easy use ’mast design to give powerful temporary lighting for any situation.  Easy to install and easy to remove - in fact its ready to use in under 2 minutes!  The unique pneumatic mast operation allows for quick and easy installation with a 5 metre extension for greater height and visibility.

When you want Portable Lighting which is safe, secure and stable in all weathers then the 5 section mast fitted with a “Twin-Lock” system prevents the mast from turning in the wind.  The integral shock absorption system prevents the mast from lowering too quickly and a heavy duty bipod mounting arrangement keeps the mast stable in winds of up to 100km/h.

It also includes Hot water wash in the back toilet, a robust front hot wash system, a seamless heavy duty GRP wipe clean interior, Phenolic coated marine plywood floors and embossed stainless steel worktops.

The ‘Hydraulic Compact’ unit is available with the Europower super silent 3.4Kva Hatz diesel engine generator. To minimise on-site issues, Pickerings chose a bespoke control panel with programmable automatic shut off in the event of low fuel, low oil pressure or high engine temperature. It also has a timer programmed to run for between 1 min and 2 hours to avoid unnecessary use. Control circuits are designed to prioritise the load to internal appliances to maximise the efficiency of the generator. This together with the 16 hour running time and Jerry can feed make it an extremely versatile unit.

Variable Message Signs Limited based in Hebburn, Tyne and Wear specialise in the design, manufacture and installation of a range of LED based products used in traffic management control. The Freeway 3412 provides a valuable addition to the successful Freeway 3000 range of mobile variable message signs. Primarily intended for temporary installation on highways and major roads, this model offers a powerful and distinctive display of 4 lines of 12 x 240mm upper case characters, supported by unrivalled Advanced Power Management, enabling self-sufficient operation for more than 125 hours. The Europower generator supplied by UK Generators Limited is encased in a welded security frame and features auto start/stop, in the event of mains failure for low battery voltage. UK Generators are best known for the manufacture and supply of Super silent and silent bespoke power generation solutions. However the latest growth area for the company has been with their own hydraulic powered generator, manufactured at their premises in Corby and now being supplied extensively to the global powered access markets. Haulotte have now taken delivery of their first batch of 30 3.5Kva 110v Hydraulic generators and Genie, a long-standing customer have placed an order for a number of units with yet more to come. Skyjack have confirmed an order for 100 units for delivery over the next 2 –3 months. Both Haulotte, Genie and Skyjack have chosen this particular generator for its versatility: It is designed to operate in isolation to the functions of the platform and incorporates as standard an integral flow control valve, on/off solenoid and earth leakage circuit breaker protection. It has also been designed to facilitate ease of installation, requiring only two hoses to be connected - pressure in and tank return. Some electrical wiring is required which varies from platform to platform.

The unit was originally designed specifically for the access platform market but is now used on a variety of equipment due to the versatile nature of the product.
A hydraulic driven generator could be a better solution for many on-site power requirements; it is compact and secure with no need for a stand alone diesel generator thereby reducing the opportunity for plant theft and significantly reducing noise levels. Obviously there will be no diesel costs and considerably reduced service and maintenance levels.

The New European Noise Emission directive, effective this year presents no problem to UK Generators who supply and manufacture an extensive range of Generators which already fall within the new noise restriction parameters. One example is the 3000rpm "New Boy" generators, which are among the quietest and most compact water cooled diesel generators in the market today, unlike traditional site type generators the "New Boy" draws its cooling air and discharges its exhaust and hot air on one side only. This makes it ideal for applications where the generator set needs to be installed into a secondary enclosure, such as Site Cabins, Catering Trailers, Exhibition Trailers etc. In addition the unit is fully serviceable from the front side of the unit. The Kubota engine EPS73DE runs at an incredible 62dBA, perfect in cabins for construction industry use where Health and Safety legislation is paramount and residential proximity may be an issue.

Another interesting ‘silent’ option available through UK Generators is their hydraulic powered generator now used extensively within the global powered access markets, it is surprising just how much mechanical plant has it’s own integral hydraulic supply, that these units can tap into. This particular unit produces 3.5 kVa of AC power at either 110v 0r 220v. Optional 50 or 60 Hz units are also available. The unit was originally designed specifically for the access platform market but is now used on a variety of equipment.

This particular model generator has a number of bespoke features focusing on safety and ease of use. It was hard wired for cabin use to prevent overloading and has a gas conversion with jerry can feed to protect the conversion to cope with the needs of any construction site, it also has a remote control with 5m cable and 10pin connector, enabling it to be worked locally or remotely. Other features include Full Auto Primer on the gas conversion for easy start, external battery connector for easy access and anti-vibration mounts.
