Product Range Extended
We are pleased to announce that
our range of hydraulic driven generators now extends up to 40kva
Three Phase and 25kva Single Phase. Following completion of a
recent order for a bespoke 40kva hydraulic generator for
installation onto a 7.5 tonne vehicle, we are pleased to be able
to extend the range of hydraulic generators available, compact,
powerful and quiet these units offer an ideal alternative to
diesel engine generators where size, weight and noise maybe an
issue.
A 40kVa generator with dimensions
of only L 78cm W 30cm H 41cm and weighing approximately 250kgs.
The unit is powered by a piston
pump mounted on the gear box PTO of the vehicles engine, the
generator operates whilst the vehicle engine is running at

HPS Installs Hydraulic Generator on Genie
Z45
Sales and Service company Access Platform
Sales recently sold a reconditioned Genie Z45 to a steel
erection company, we were asked to retrofit one of our hydraulic
generators onto the unit. The Z45 is perhaps one of the more
compact units on the market and with space to locate the
generator extremely limited, locating the set was actually the
biggest issue, however after much thought a suitable position
was found and we installed, tested and commissioned the unit on
site. The unit fitted was a 3.5kVa 110v CTE generator.

Another New Addition to the
HPS Platform PowerPack Range
HPS has recently completed the development of a new hydraulic generator to compliment its
existing range. The new unit is designed to provide platform power for smaller scissors and booms where the hydraulic flow rate is insufficient to drive our existing models. It uses a 3.9cc per rev gear motor which means that the hydraulic flow required to provide AC power is now only approximately 12 litres per minute so that platforms such as the Genie Z45 and Niftylift HR21 can now generate power to the platform with the engine running at idle speed, thereby reducing fuel consumption, engine wear and tear, noise levels and
emissions.

A New Platform PowerPack for the Variable Displacement Gear Pump
The
HPS Platform Powerpack is a purpose built onboard hydraulic generator solution, designed specifically for the Powered Access Industry. We are delighted to introduce a unit suited to an extensive range of both Scissors and Booms that operate with variable displacement load sensing pumps. The manifold incorporates all of the required valves to allow the generator to operate without the need for any other component parts and an installation kit is available for certain models.
The Platform Powerpack is supplied for UK use with an 110V CTE (centre tapped to earth) generator as standard, and for additional protection we supply RCBO protection at the base of the platform, this prevents the scissor or boom becoming live in the event of an earth fault in the cabling between the chassis and basket. If there is fault with the tools or equipment being used, the operator is protected.
The generator can be mounted in any convenient location, fully weather proof and can be mounted vertically if required.
Units can be supplied in a range of outputs from 2 – 6 kVa, single or three phase, 50 and 60 Hz as well as a range of welder / generators. One of the key advantages of the
HPS Platform Powerpack is that within this range the manifold and valves are common on all units. The units are virtually maintenance free and come with a two year warranty as standard on parts and labour.
