Specialists in Hydraulic Generators and Hydraulic Power Solutions
Hydraulic
Power Solutions Ltd specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of hydraulic driven generators
and hydraulic power generation solutions. The original design of the HPS
hydraulic generator originates back to the early 1990's and was first fitted to
an Upright LX scissor lift for Nationwide Access, to power cladding packs, units
were then installed on the Upright SL and Genie GS again for Nationwide. Up
until this time the traditional means of providing power to the platform was to
have a diesel generator at ground level with an extension lead running up the
side, believe it or not this still happens as seen recently on TV at an Ashes
test match for the TV cameras!
Since the first units were designed many things have changed, Health and
Safety legislation is a lot more stringent, EC regulations have been tightened
considerably which has lead to the cost differential between the engine driven
generator or hydraulic generator option not only narrowing, but the hydraulic
generator in terms of cost price only is now a cheaper option. Both in terms of
base cost and whole of life cost, even if we compare the cost of a
hydraulic generator with the inverter option, which is seen as a low cost
option, the hydraulic generator is still a far better option, the hydraulic
generator requires no maintenance, no servicing and has an extensive life
expectancy, in fact some of the machines original supplied are still in use
today. The likely hood is that the generator will outlast the platform.
Along with the many changes to legislation, there has been continued
development of the product and now the HPS hydraulic generator is probably the
simplest, most reliable and compact unit available in the market today. which is
why our product continues to be installed on Access Platforms from leading
manufacturers such as Genie, JLG, Manitou, Niftylift, Aichi and many more.
We have mentioned only Access Platforms so far, simply
because this is where it all started, however over the years the
applications for the generators has grown considerably and units
are installed on a wide range of equipment, agricultural
machinery, boats, barges, drilling machines, construction
machinery and many different types of vehicles. Quite simply if
your equipment has a hydraulic supply, then there is every
possibility that a hydraulic generator can be installed or
powered from it, if your not sure. please ask if it can be done
we will do it!
We continue to develop our range of hydraulic driven
equipment expanding beyond the generator market, if there is
something you would like to see then please do not hesitate to
contact us.
